Lonely Street

I thought I'd give you some more information about me.

I was lonely when I was young, except my picture. The picture used to watch over me at night, but now it watches you.

I know you. I know you well, because you saved me from my loneliness. On a summer day, when school was closed, and I was alone at home, you came and said hello.

I didn't know who you were, and sometimes I think I still don't, but I don't really care. You are always here for me, and I don't feel so lonely anymore.

I'm not going to tell anyone about you, just in case they take you away when we're both sleeping. At least when I'm awake, I can look after you, but when I'm sleeping, there is no one there to take care of you. That's why my picture watches you. So I can always be there for you too.

I'm writing this for you, so you know more about me and know how much I appreciate you and know that I never want you to leave me.
