the adventures of Upperman: The beginning

Water guy was quietly looking over his plans, that had been written some time ago, it was for a real working Time machine, ever since he got here in earth, he had been looking for a way to go back in time and save John from getting crashed landed on earth. Now that he had met him, it was more of a hobby then saving two worlds. The plans were complete, but something was wrong, he feared that he would be missing a very important factor. He had decided if he hadn't found anything in a month, he would begin constructing it. No one knew he was planning this, he didn't want to get there hopes up if he built it and it didn't work. "what I missing" water guy said to himself "I got all the key parts for it, and a very good power source, something is missing, I cannot delay this project any longer" suddenly he heard the elevator going up, speed must be taking John outside, but for what? speed knew John wasn't allowed outside, but still did it "ahh , speed never listens to me" Water guy said, he felt a draft in the back of him, a cold one, he knew it was Shadowman "can you blame him, he is so young, he has much to learn" Shadowman said coldly "we cant just sit here, we got to do something" water guy yelled "no let them go, I will secretly watch over them, in case of danger" Shadowman said as he disappeared in the darkness, water guy only feared the worst

meanwhile, John and speed just got out of the elevator " am getting used to it now, but it still makes me kind of sick" John told speed "don't worry, you ill be fine, now lets go" he said as he patted John in back. as the were walking the streets John said with annoyance "let me guess, this skip is very hard to find, and we have to go in circles to find him" speed laughed and said "no, he lives just around the corner, what made you think that" "ohh nothing" he said with relief.

John and Speed finally stopped. Speed walked up to the steps of the door and rang the doorbell. No one answered. Then something strange can out of the door, like some kind af spy camera, it looked at them, and then, very fast went back in. they heard a latch open, and speed opened the door. The room was empty as it could be, all was there was a broken couch, a busted TV, and an old bookcase. "Nobodies here" John said "that's the cool part" speed said. John was confused, either speed had gone insane, or something weird was going to happen again. Speed walked up to a book and pulled it out "ahh the old sercet doorway" john said "not quiet" Speed said. Speed began to read, John was very confused an impatient "well" he said rudely "just wait" speed said as he was reading. John waited, nothing was happening, he felt he was just wasting time "ok well you can stand there and read your book but am going back to the hideout" john said as he was walking towards the door. he pulled the handle but the handle fell, then he heard something behind him, like some whooshing sound, he turned around and saw a portal, unlike the one he'd seen, this was a portal that didn't move, it was just floating, he called out to speed, but no one answered, a second time, still no one answered. He kept on walking towards the portal; he stopped at it, looking in it. he saw a tiny room. He put his hand into the portal; someone gripped it and pulled him all the way in it as he screamed.

"speed where are we" John said, he arrived in a small room, with nothing but a door "were here" speed said as he opened the door "skip!!" speed said as he came in "ahh my boy, what brings you here today" skip said. Skip looked old, maybe 40 or 50, he was normal height, he had lost some of his hair, but still retained some hair and wore glasses. " you know, just taking a break" speed said "when are you not taking a break" skip said, John laughed "ahaha, good one" speed said as he turned around "my god the HOTU" skip said as he gazed deeply at the medallion, John had a ? look "your medallion my friend, it is one of a kind, at least for each hero of the universe!!" skip said "hey will you keep it down, I am not supposed to have John out on the streets" speed said "right, right, ok then on to my latest inventions" skip said as they followed him to a nearby table which had a red and blue Jumpsuit on it" here we have my fire proof suit, notice it can change colors depending on the envirment, watch" Skip toke out a match and lit it, and threw it at the suit, the suit turned a dark red color "sweet, how much are you selling it for" speed said as skip threw water on it, making it change from dark red to blue "am not selling it yet, only one bug i haven't fixed on it, as much as it resataint to stuff like water, fire, chemicals, etc, it breaks easily" skip told speed, skip toke out a knife and cut a small part of the suit he turned to the next invention which looked like a grapping hook "now this might seem like your average grapping hook, but what makes this so special is that you can never run out of rope, but on to something more cool" skip said as he pointed to something hidden within a cloth " now this is my greatest invention ever my friends, The ultimate power glove" he said as he toke off the cloth." they look normal to me" John said as he picked them up "try them on, you'll see what I mean" skip said. So he put on the brown gloves, he noticed some red circle in the middle of the glove of his hand. the feel of the gloves were great, he felt like it was something missing from him for a long time.suddenlly they glowed and a spark of energy went throw his hands "go try using one of your powers" skip said, so John used a small power ball, but something was different this time, the spark he would usually get was gone, and he could feel the power instead of feeling the pain, the power ball hit the light, and it turned dark "wow, this is great, it feels much better, I have a sense of now knowing how much power I use, can I keep them" John said in excitement as skip fixed the light bulb "well I did make them for the hotu, you will have the suit as well, but that will have to wait, now speed I need to show you something in private, John look around for a minute, will be back" skip said as speed and skip walked off

"I have been meaning to show you this for a long time, something bad is going on here at eastwood, very bad" skip said as they were in the other room. It was a tiny computer room, like the one at the hideout, expect without a lookout or very tech stuff, all there was a computer "what is it" speed asked "this" skip said as he pressed enter on the keyboard, A picture of a power planet " I hacked into the cities camera's, there has been a man in black dumping stuff within the plant, and I am getting high level readings of radiation, if this continues we might have a blackout" skip said quietly "that's bad right" speed asked "no of course not, I am just telling you for my health" skip joked "good, cause you had my worried there" speed said "this is no time for games speed, this is serious, if you guys don't do something this city will become a wasteland" he yelled "ok, ok fine, I ll tell them, now is there anything else" speed said "well there is one more thing this" skip said as he handed him something, it was a bag of marbles " give it to water guy, he ll now what to do with them" skip said.

Meanwhile John was looking around, looking at skips gadgets. Some made sounds, while others did work like sweep, clean, and do laundry. John saw something that interested him, a book, he picked it up and blowed the dust away it said "skips data logs" john looked in it, the last one was 2 years ago, which John figured that he must not use it any more, it had logs of inventions, dates that were important to the city, and updates to skips days, John thinking hastily he toke it as soon as Skip and speed walked in "right then, John we got to go, there is something I have to tell the gang, come on, see you later skip" speed said. so went the way they came, strangely enough when they walked out of the building the door and steps disappeared, like it didn't exist.
