When she woke up she was at home in her bed. She had a throbbing head ache and her stomach was churning with hunger. When she sat up in bed she felt an awkward pain in her leg, she looked down to see that there was a cut on her leg. She jumped back then she realized the events of the night before. "How am I going to get down stairs?" she thought to herself. "For that matter how did I get upstairs?"
She slouched back into bed pondering her options. Gaston had tripped all her connections with the phone all calls were directed to him. Thinking to herself she reached over to the night stand and took out a pendulum from the drawer. It had been a long time since she had relied on it but there was no choice.
She took it from its purple pouch and held it in her palms. She meditated on its cold stone charging its energy. It took a little bit of time remembering how it worked but finally she got it to swing. Once it reached a decent pace she called upon her grandmother. The first the she asked it was "Is there any way to take down Gaston?" She waited for a response the pendulum continued at a steady rhythm swinging to the right. This meant yes. Next she asked "Does Gaston have anything to do with Morgan?" The pendulum signed a strong yes. "I knew it!" she thought quickly to herself. Focusing hard on her next question she asked "Is Morgan going to hurt George?" The pendulum almost hesitated then signaled a yes. "Is she going to hurt him tonight?" Yes again.
"This is not good," she told herself "I've got to warn him before its too late." She limped out of bed and made her way to the bathroom. How was she going to doctor her leg she thought? She took some antiseptic and put it over the wound, said a quick healing spell and the wound closed up and the pain was gone from her leg. She walked over to the closet and changed her cloths.
When she was done getting ready she went down the hall to a door which led to the stairs leading to the attic. There was a large trunk on the other side of the room. Inside was a red cloak with silver embroidery of a rose leading up to the hood. She handled it with extreme caution. The cloak had belonged to the Queen of roses back when the witch's had their own councils. She placed it off to the side of the trunk. Underneath was a black belt with a large rose bud as a belt buckle. She traced her fingers over the intricate rose and took the belt out of the trunk. Next she pulled out a short sword. It was silver with a rose at the hilt. It was magnificent even in the darkness of the attic. She took that and its scabbard from the trunk. The only thing left in the trunk was a long men's trench coat and the cloak and a long sword. Hopefully this was enough to keep her and George safe.
After she was done equipping herself with the sword and belt she left to find George. As she stepped out the front door an eerie breeze passed by and it seemed to whisper "Run!" as it tickled her neck. She picked up the pace in till it reached a steady run.
Once she got to George's house something wasn't right. The front door was locked and the lights were out. She stepped away from the house and looked around the side. She noticed the window on the 2nd floor was open and the curtains were blowing out the window. She quickly took the sword and angled it to her back so it would not interfere as she quickly started to scale the trellce. When she got to the top she looked into the window. It was open into the bathroom which the door was open too. She could see George and Morgan walking up the stairs alluringly.
Morgan caught glance of something but she didn't see anything. George was like a sick puppy tailing his owner. "Poor guy." Lydia thought to herself. "Its all my fault he's mixed in with this. I've got to help him." She climbed through the window quite gracefully once the 2 had passes by. Quickly with her hand on the hilt of the sword she left the bathroom and passed into the hall. She peered into the room which the 2 had gone into; they were in a close embrace kissing each other. The sight made Lydia's heart burn with jealousy.
Then she noticed a sharp move made by Morgan she now stood full fanged. George was shocked and fell to his feet; he muttered a few words she couldn't make out. Lydia lashed out with the sword drawn to Morgan's fangs.
"GET OUT OF HERE NOW!" Lydia barked at George as he scrambled to his feet and left. She released Morgan's fangs. Morgan seemed to slither away till she had diapered.
