Downloading and editing

posted by peterson0a0 on Mon, July 16th, 21:29.

Hi there,

I was just a little bit confused when I clicked the "start a story" button. I thought I was starting a book, and I just put the name of the book in the name of the "story". I'm brazilian and I'm writing some sort of trilogy, so I think it would be more interesting to put the following books on the same story. But I want to edit the name of my story: right now is "Era das Conseqüências: A Batalha de Learsi " and I wanna put only "Era das Conseqüências". Can I do it? If so, where can I do it?

And can I download the book? I read there when I got it done: "downloads: 0". But, I'm not seeing the place to download it.

Thanks a lot,
Rev. Peterson Cekemp

Hello Peterson,

Sorry for taking so long. A writer from Brazil, excellent! I have been myself, but only really around Minas Gerais. But anyway...

Firstly, with regards to downloading the PDF, please go to
http://www.portrayl.com/completed/7
and you will be able to download the book (link near the bottom of the page). Note that you have to be logged in.

As for editing the name of the story, you can go here
http://www.portrayl.com/story/68
Log in, and there will be the option to edit the name of the story accross the top. However, note that when you complete a story, you can no longer add any other chapters on to it (because it is a finished story), so you have two options
1) Follow up the penultimate chapter with the same last chapter, but do not make it an ending, and then you can carry on on that branch of the story
2) Just create a new book, as people will be able to see the books you have written on you personal page.

Hopefully that will answer some of your questions, but if you have any others, please post here, or you can email us using the email addresses given on
http://www.portrayl.com/contact

Thanks

Sorry, I went to the page of my story (the link http://www.portrayl.com/story/68) but still I wasn't able to change the name of the story.

I have to ask something for you, I think it's not possible but I do want to do it. I am rewriting the story and publishing it in my weblog, but I don't want to give up on Portrayl. I would like to erase my book so I can write again the story. Can I do this? You'd help me so much if I could do it.

Thanks.
