Me and the Spanish civil war

It was a very hot day when we continued to flee, far away from the war and the soldiers - but it is still a long way to our goal. We, me, my baby and my husband, were quite exhausted. Suddenly my baby began to cry: Maybe it was thirsty. I wanted to breast-feed it, but where? I thought that the soldiers came nearer to our current position, I was very afraid and so I just could not stop in this moment. In this moment my husband had a great idea: He said that there is a small forest in front of us, where we could hide. We told the other refugees that we will follow them in a few minutes and then we walked over a field into the forest. There we looked for a safe place to hide.
